This front yard had a lot going on - a sloped grade, no real usable space, and nothing tying the property together. What it needed was structure. So we came in with a full hardscape plan: a stepper walkway with turf inlay, retaining walls along both sides, and a Brussels block paver patio right off the front of the house.
The walkway is probably the first thing you notice. Large concrete steppers set into bright green artificial turf, all bordered by a clean stone retaining wall on each side. It gives the whole entry a sharp, modern look while still feeling warm and intentional. The turf inlay keeps it low-maintenance too - no mowing, no patching, no muddy edges.
The Brussels paver patio is where this whole design really comes together. It's a solid, well-built seating area that connects directly to the walkway and sits elevated with the retaining walls framing it perfectly. Brussels block has that slightly tumbled, aged look that gives it character without feeling heavy. It's built to hold up for years and it looks good doing it.
We also handled the surrounding landscape design and installation - the plantings along the retaining walls, the mulched beds, and the overall layout of the space. Every piece was planned to work with the others. That's the difference between a yard that looks patched together and one that actually feels designed. This one feels designed.
When hardscaping and landscaping are planned together from the start, the result is a space that functions well and holds its value. This is exactly the kind of project we love - one where every element has a purpose and the finished product is something you actually want to spend time in.
